2. Age requirement

- Content you create: live streams, short videos, photos, comments, chat messages, likes and follows.
- Payout details: if you are a creator and withdraw earnings, the payment details needed to pay you (for example, bank or PayPal details) and any information required for tax or fraud checks.

4. How we use your information
| What we do | Legal basis (UK GDPR) |

| Fix bugs, measure performance and improve features | Legitimate interests |
| Send service messages (security, account and policy updates) | Contract; legitimate interests |
| Send optional updates and promotions | Consent (you can opt out at any time) |
| Respond to legal requests and protect rights and safety | Legal obligation; legitimate interests |
5. Live streams and public content
Pulse is a social app. Your username, profile photo, bio, live streams, videos, comments, chat messages in live rooms, gifts you send in public, and your rankings can be seen by other users. Anything you broadcast can be watched in real time and could be recorded or screenshotted by viewers. We cannot control what other people do with content after you share it, so please think before you go live or post.
6. Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:
- Other users, as described in section 5.
- Service providers who help us run Pulse, under contracts that require them to protect your information. These include our hosting and server providers, live video streaming infrastructure, Google (Google Play billing, sign-in and push notifications through Firebase), Apple (Sign in with Apple and App Store purchases), and payment providers used for creator payouts.
- Law enforcement and regulators, when required by law, or when needed to protect someone's safety, to prevent fraud, or to enforce our Terms.
- A new owner, if Pulse is ever sold or merged. We would tell you before your information became subject to a different privacy policy.
7. Coins, gifts and payments
Coin purchases in the Android app are processed by Google Play, and in the iOS app by Apple. We receive confirmation of the purchase (such as the product, amount, time and an order reference) but we never see your full card details. Google and Apple handle your payment information under their own privacy policies. When you send a gift, the gift, amount and recipient are recorded and may be shown in the live room.
8. International transfers
Some of our service providers may process information outside the UK. When this happens, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.
9. How long we keep information
- Account and profile information: for as long as your account is open.
- Content: until you delete it or delete your account.
- Transaction and payout records: up to 6 years after the transaction, to meet tax and accounting laws.
- Safety records (such as reports and bans): for as long as needed to keep Pulse safe and prevent banned users from returning.
- Technical logs: usually no longer than 90 days.
10. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
- delete your information;
- object to or restrict certain uses of your information;
- receive your information in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.
To use any of these rights, email info@y4l-pulse.com. We will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
11. Deleting your account
In the app: go to Profile → Settings → Delete account and confirm.
Without the app: email info@y4l-pulse.com with the subject "Delete my Pulse account", from the email address linked to your account, and include your Pulse username. We will confirm the request and delete your account within 30 days.
When your account is deleted, we remove your profile, videos, photos, comments and messages, and you can no longer sign in. Any unused coins or unwithdrawn earnings are forfeited, so withdraw eligible earnings first. We keep a limited amount of information after deletion where the law requires it or where it is needed for safety: transaction and payout records (up to 6 years), and records of serious rule breaks (to stop banned users rejoining).
12. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), encrypted password storage and restricted access to our systems. No service can be completely secure, so please use a strong, unique password and keep your login details private.
13. Children
Pulse is not for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child is using Pulse, please report it in the app or email us, and we will act quickly.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app before they take effect.
